Resident Placement Program (RPP)
The PAIRO Resident Placement Program is a unique service designed to help senior residents find jobs across Ontario. The goal is for these jobs to meet the physicians’ personal and professional needs. By working with the CDO, PAIRO will interview residents and determine which community best fulfills the needs of the physician.
As part of the Resident Placement Program, PAIRO had created a job bank called the PAIRO registry, which was an online database of all job opportunities outside of the academic centers. The PAIRO registry has been expanded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and has been renamed under the MOH's Health Human Resources Strategy and is now called HealthForceOntario Job Database (www.hfojobs.ca). HealthForceOntario is a strong initiative geared towards making Ontario an attractive place to practice. The HealthForceOntario Job database includes two separate job registries, one for physicians and one for nurses.
Please visit the Professional Association of Interns and Residents of Ontario website at www.pairo.org for more information on both the RPP program and HealthForceOntario.
