ROMP PGY3 POSITIONS - Family Physicians
Apply directly to ROMP or to Dr. Liz Shaw (McMaster, Family Medicine) for PGY3 positions.
These positions are up to 12 months in length with a focus on the development of enhanced skills for rural practice. Applicants may design their own program by applying to a PGY3 Enhanced Skills or apply for a PGY3 program with a rural focus in: GP Anaesthesia; ER; Advanced OB; Care of the Elderly; Palliative Care, or Enhanced Skills.

DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR PGY3: October 26th, 2007
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate their intention to go into rural practice.
To be eligible, applicants must currently be a PGY2 in a Canadian family medicine residency program.

Please note, you will need these documents to support your application:
II. One copy of your current Curriculum Vitae.
III. Two (2) letters of reference that address the support for additional training, competency of professional skills, and academic and/or clinical contributions to the profession of family medicine.
IV. A letter of good standing from your Family Medicine, Program Director.
PGY3 EM: PROCESS OF APPLICATION
Those applying for an PGY3 in Emergency Medicine will be matched through CaRMS. Successful candidates will write their exams to obtain their CCFP-EM certification. For compelte information and application forms, please go to the College of Family Physicians website.
