CaRMS
The Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) corporation provides:
- Graduating medical clerks with an electronic application service
- Matches for entry into postgraduate medical training.
- A First and Second Iteration Match
- R3 Match
***The first match occurs for graduating students and the second includes independent applicants who are former graduates of Canadian medical schools, U.S students, and graduates of international medical schools.
Students are interviewed prior to matching. The Rural Ontario Medical Program attends some CARMS interviews to provide students with information. Multi-Specialty (one month) and Family Medicine Residency (one month) electives are funded and arranged (preceptor match and hospital privileges) by ROMP.
