On Wednesday, June 12th and Thursday, June 13 th the Rural Ontario Medical Program hosted the third annual spring workshop in Peterborough, Ontario.
The main objective of the workshop was to provide orientation to all the new preceptors, both family doctors and specialists as well as to the electives coordinators at each hospital. In addition, the workshop provided an opportunity for an exchange of ideas, experiences and perspectives, facilitated networking among colleagues, provided techniques to enhance preceptor's teaching skills and gave electives coordinators the tools they need in their administrative role. It also gave people an opportunity to meet up with old friends and some physicians met up with colleagues they hadn't seen since graduating from medical school.
