ROMP's Annual Spring Workshop
Each year, the Rural Ontario Medical Program hosts a three day workshop that covers topics relating to community based rural training, faculty development and physician recruitmen and retention.
Each day of the workshop has a specific focus. The first day is geared twoards the many university and community based Education Coordinators that work with ROMP to place medical students and residents into rural rotations across South Central Ontario.
The second day of the workshop focuses on faculty development. The Rural Ontario Medical Program provides presentations on mentorship and many other issues that face busy physicians who take learners into their practice as part of medical education.
The final day of the workshop addresses the issues stemming from the nation wide physician shortage. Physician Recruitment and Retention Coordinators gather together to share best practices and learn about new strategies implemented by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
There is no registration fee to participate in the Rural Ontario Medical Program's Annual Spring Workshop. Please contact us if you require more information.
