ROMP Distance Calculator

All learners who are completing funded rotations are eligible to claim one round trip between their *Academic Centre and the community in which their clinical rotation is confirmed per rotation, as per the stipulations outlined in the Travel Policy.

The *Academic Centre is defined as a learner's university campus, university satellite campus, university expansion site, CaRMS matched site or home base site. 

ROMP has pre-calculated the distance between the *Academic Centres that are established and recognized by the Ontario Medical Schools and the participating communities in the ROMP region.  Please refer to the appropriate chart below to determine the pre-determined round trip kilometres for which you are eligible. 

If an amount other than the recorded amount in ROMP's distance calculator is entered on an expense claim form, the amount will be removed and changed to the pre-determined allowed round trip kilometres.

Please Note:  Maximum travel funding per rotation month is $450.00.  Any round trips that are calculated to exceed this amount have been reduced to the maximum travel funding of $450.00.
